Ray has worked for 25 years in the corporate world around the world and is a qualified Humanistic Counsellor, experienced drummer and drum circle facilitator developing and leading programmes around the UK, Ireland and elsewhere.

He is a Village Music Circles certified Drum Circle Facilitator and has attended and trained with Arthur Hull known as the father of the drum facilitator movement facilitator workshops since 2008 and in 2013 and 2016 was a mentor on the course. Ray has also an advanced diploma from the therapeutic drum foundation as well as being a certified HealthRhythms facilitator trained by Neurologist Dr. Barry Bittman MD and author and leading wellness and drum circle facilitator Christine Stevens MSW, MT-BC,MA. Ray is also a Life music facilitator trained by Dr. Rod Paton of Chichester University and is a member of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild. Ray is also a trained Rhythm2Recovery facilitator having completed his training in Malaysia in 2016 and now hosting training workshops in the UK in 2017.

Ray was a drummer in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and took part in the closing ceremony as well. He was also a drummer in the UEFA Champions league final 2013 at Wembley. He is part of the Pandemonium Drummers, which is a legacy voluntary drummer group post the Olympic ceremony.

Ray is a fully qualified counsellor and member of the BACP working in private practice as well as an Associate Counsellor working with adolescents at a sixth form college in Hampshire and young men in a private school in Surrey.
